“What are you willing to give up, in order to have what you really want? ~ Elizabeth Gilbert”
This weekend has been wet here on the Gold Coast. Subsequently, I had a few extra hours to speak to friends on the phone. One of the conversations was about helping a friend identify what she really wanted in life at the moment. After she identified what she really wanted, a few obstacles came up.
Actually, there were many, many obstacles. These obstacles ranged from excuses (i.e. not having enough time or money) to some faulty thoughts like not trusting themselves and even deep held beliefs, like not being worthy of having what she wanted.
The truth is when we are wanting to change, there are always going to be obstacles! However in the end the question still remains the same – “what are you willing to give up to have what you really want?”
Once you know what you want – are you willing to start letting go and untangling from the things that no longer serve you in your life?
You know what I am referring to – the situations, feelings, people or experiences that drain your energy…
Remember if you are lucky, each year you receive 365 days (unless it’s a leap year), 52 weeks, 12 months in a year, 24 hours in a day and 60 minutes in an hour.
So, make sure you value that time and invest it focusing it on what matters to you!
